Last month at Clash of Champions, Luke Harper made his shocking return to TV, reuniting with long-time tag team partner Erick Rowan.
At the next pay-per-view Hell In A Cell, Harper teamed with Rowan in a fun tornado tag team match against Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns.
Despite being featured in one of Smackdown’s biggest storylines in the last few weeks, WWE decided to draft Rowan to Raw on his own. Luke Harper was left as a free agent.
The future for Luke Harper remains uncertain, but Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE currently has no plans for the talented worker.
“No mention of Luke Harper at all which is very interesting. When he came back they only had an idea or ideas for up until the last pay-per-view. Basically it was to set up that tag team match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan.”
There is no word on what WWE plans on doing with Luke Harper. The former Smackdown Tag Team Champion has still yet to re-sign his contract with the company.
Another free agent in the draft Cesaro is rumoured to be making his way back to NXT. Perhaps Harper will be joining the Swiss wrestler on Wednesday Nights.
