An update has emerged on former WWE star Trent Seven’s AEW status, following his recent appearances for Tony Khan.
Seven made his AEW debut on the December 9 edition of Rampage. On the show, the former NXT Tag Team Champion unsuccessfully challenged for Orange Cassidy’s All-Atlantic Title.
In the post-Final Battle media scrum, Khan indicated that Seven isn’t All Elite, but teased that he’ll make appearances for AEW and ROH in the future.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Seven is signed to a per-show deal with AEW, and not a full-time deal.
Seven was released by WWE in August, as part of a round of cuts coinciding with the NXT UK brand going on a hiatus.
He last wrestled for WWE during the July 7 NXT UK taping, losing to Tyler Bate in their NXT UK Championship bout.
