Update On Velveteen Dream WWE Rumors WWE

Earlier today, a rumour emerged online that controversial former NXT North American Champion Patrick Clark (Velveteen Dream) had been at the WWE Performance Center, as recently as last night.

This had led to speculation online that Dream could potentially be on his way back to the company, but that appears to not be the case.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), one WWE higher up stated that they have ‘no interest’ in re-signing Velveteen Dream, and that something “very shocking” would have to take place for that to happen.

Dream was released from the company in May 2021, after a number of controversies.

Fightful spoke to “a dozen sources” who frequent the WWE Performance Center, all of which noted that they had not seen him at the PC, despite being there all day.

Fightful then provided an update, noting that they were told by WWE “emphatically” that Velveteen Dream has not been at the Performance Center.

Dream has not wrestled on record in almost three years, his last match being a defeat to Adam Cole on the December 23, 2020 episode of WWE NXT.

The last time he had been in the news was an arrest last year for alleged trespassing and battery, but the case was dropped due to lack of evidence.
