It was reported earlier today following last night’s episode of Raw that Vince McMahon was upset with Seth Rollins after Rollins responded to CM Punk chants during the show which took place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that a source told him that Vince is “furious” with Seth for acknowledging the fans’ chants.
If you didn’t see Rollins’ promo, here you go.
“I tried to get CM Punk here, I’m sorry, he didn’t want to show up. He wants to sit behind a desk in Los Angeles and talk about a change he’s too afraid to make himself.”

It is thought that the general rule within WWE is that you don’t hype a match that is never going to happen, and as by acknowledging the Punk chants, Rollins would have got a lot of people excited about a potential match between the two.
Despite return to a WWE show on FOX, Punk isn’t signed to WWE as far as we know, and only has a contract with FOX. Seth has challenged Punk multiple times on Twitter, and Punk has invited Seth to appear on WWE Backstage, so could this be a long-term goal for WWE?
