Find out an update on why Vince McMahon is backstage at tonight’s WWE Raw (March 6) as reported by multiple outlets.

When word broke earlier this afternoon ahead of WWE Raw in Boston that Vince McMahon was spotted backstage, some fans immediately questioned the purpose.

However now a bit more detail has been revealed about why McMahon is said to have been at the Boston episode of the long running program.

With Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp summing up the prevailing notion neatly, tweeting:

“Everything that I’ve heard thus far indicates that people at WWE Raw believe Vince McMahon was at the show to visit John Cena.

“He’s visited Cena multiple times outside of WWE over the last year.”

PWInsider also reported in their PWInsider Elite section that McMahon is “not there to take over creative or to even run the taping”, but “primarily” to visit with Cena.

PWInsider added that the regular production and executive teams are running the show tonight, “no different than usual”.

WrestlingNews.co also reported they’ve heard from two different people that McMahon is just visiting.

And further, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer tweeted: “Well, the claim is he is just visiting”.

McMahon had reportedly not been backstage at a WWE event since July 2022 until tonight.
