Here’s the latest update on WWE’s booking plans for Hit Row who made their main roster debuts on SmackDown this past Friday.
The group of Ashante Adonis, B-Fab, Isaiah Scott and Top Dolla had a promising first outing with Scott and Top Dolla getting a tag team win over two unknown jobbers.
Since they beat nobodies, we didn’t really learn much about how WWE plans to position the group, but a new report from PWInsider has shed some light on that.
The site reports that WWE is currently planning to use Hit Row on the babyface side of the roster.
Before their match on SmackDown, they were actually listed on WWE’s internal card for the show to face Jinder Mahal and Shanky, but for whatever reason, it was changed to two jobbers instead of Mahal and Shanky.
Even before that, it was reported that WWE was planning to use Scott and Adonis as a tag team and Top Dolla as a singles wrestler, but it later came to light that Adonis wasn’t medically cleared to compete on SmackDown, which would explain why it was Scott and Top Dolla that teamed up instead.
Either way, the newest update is that, at least as of now, WWE is planning on using the group as babyfaces.
