Triple H announced a shakeup to WWE’s lineup of announcers for Raw, SmackDown and NXT prior to the shows’ season premieres back in October.
With Pat McAfee taking time off to work for ESPN’s College Gameday, Wade Barrett filled in for him on the SmackDown brand during his absence.
Filling in Barrett’s spot on NXT was WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, who was originally slated to only be in the role while Barrett filled in for McAfee on SmackDown.
However, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer provided an update on his Hall of Fame podcast, where he revealed that he will be staying on NXT for the foreseeable future.
Booker previously slated that he was only slated to be a part of NXT through December, before revealing that he is now full-time on NXT.
It is not known what show, if any, Barrett will be a part of once McAfee returns to his duties on SmackDown.
Booker T has already created several memorable moments on NXT, most notably celebrating with Roxanne Perez when she captured the NXT Women’s Championship last month.
