A new update has come to light regarding the taping schedule for WWE NXT coming out of TakeOver 36 this coming Sunday.
Many people took the initial report of NXT returning to being taped as a permanent change, but it appears that’s not the case, at least for now.
PWInsider is reporting that NXT will be taping three episodes of TV coming out of TakeOver next week.
However, the plan is to go back live on September 14.
This makes sense because what people may forget is the contract between WWE and the USA Network calls for live shows, not taped shows, so there were reports that USA wasn’t happy about the reports of the show potentially becoming taped again.
The timing appears to be what had people concerned, because it comes at a time that NXT is undergoing big changes and seemingly going back to being like OVW was with more of an emphasis on big, young guys that Vince McMahon sees WrestleMania main event potential in.
