A new update has come to light regarding a WWE return to Saudi Arabia after not having a show there since February 2020.
As reported by PWInsider, the expectation is that WWE will be returning to Saudi this coming fall, but no date has been confirmed as of yet.
Traditionally, there hasn’t been much of a pattern to when the shows take place other than the second of the year tends to be October/November.
There are some potential question marks because of the deal as to whether WWE may have to have more than two shows per year there at some point to make up for the ones missed.
It’s been pointed out previously that Saudi has opened back up to having events like WWE’s shows, namely the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight, which seems to suggest the door is very much open.
WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia so far have been as follows:
- Greatest Royal Rumble – April 2018
- Crown Jewel – November 2018
- Super ShowDown – June 2019
- Crown Jewel – October 2019
- Super ShowDown – February 2020
