An update has emerged on WWE’s response to the situation involving a reported threat to Saudi Arabia.
As previously reported, the Wall Street Journal published a report detailing Saudi Arabia sharing intelligence of a warning of imminent attack from Iran in the country.
Fightful Select (subscription required) now reports that WWE remains on ‘high alert’ amid attack concerns.
At time of writing, Crown Jewel is still scheduled to go ahead. WWE is also set to hold a press conference in Riyadh, the host city for Crown Jewel, at 10am ET on Friday, November 4.
WWE names continue to arrive in Saudi Arabia ahead of the premium-live event and have begun promotional duties. Bayley shared an image of her arrival with Damage CTRL earlier on November 3.
WWE has been monitoring the situation since news broke of a threat to Saudi Arabia.
WWE Crown Jewel is still currently scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 5. It remains to be seen if the event will be postponed as a result of the attack warning.
Meanwhile, WWE has put emergency security contingencies in place and will be monitoring the situation closely.
