Updated AEW Double Or Nothing Card Following Dynamite

Updated AEW Double Or Nothing Card Following Dynamite

There was a lot to take in on last night’s May 12 AEW Dynamite, so here’s a rundown of all the matches currently set for Double Or Nothing.

The one match that had been confirmed ahead of last night’s show is Hikaru Shida defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Britt Baker.

For the men’s World Championship, Kenny Omega will be defending the title in a three-way against both Orange Cassidy and PAC.

While the #1 contender match between Cassidy and PAC had to end early due to injury concerns, the planned outcome was always a draw resulting in a three-way at Double Or Nothing.

During Anthony Ogogo’s on-screen tenure in AEW, he’s been very anti-America, and now he’ll be facing the ‘American Dream’ Cody Rhodes later this month, with Rhodes adopting his father Dusty’s nickname for one night.

After cheating to beat and end the tag team career of SCU last night, the Young Bucks had their locker room trashed by Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley.

When the Bucks found out, they challenged Kingston and Moxley to a match at Double Or Nothing. With Kingston and Moxley not being a ranked team, it’s unclear whether the Tag Team Championship will be on the line.

Christian Cage and Matt Sydal are the only two entrants confirmed so far for the Casino Battle Royale, and they’ll be going one-on-one on Dynamite next week.

The Inner Circle crashed the Pinnacle’s celebration after Blood & Guts, resulting in MJF challenging Jericho to a Stadium Stampede match at Double Or Nothing.

However, MJF made sure there was an additional stipulation, which is that if the Inner Circle were to lose, they’d have to disband forever.

The challenge hasn’t been officially accepted as of yet, so the Inner Circle could always decline that offer, but that seems very unlikely.

One match that is official is a rematch from a couple of weeks ago with Adam Page taking on Brian Cage.

Cage recently beat Page to knock him from #1 to #5 in the rankings, but Team Taz had ambushed Page before the match which put an asterisk on the result.

It also looks like a TNT Title match between Miro and Lance Archer has been set up, as well as a tag team match with Darby Allin and Sting against Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky.

In summary, here are the matches that are officially confirmed so far:

  • Kenny Omega (c) vs. Orange Cassidy vs. PAC – AEW World Championship
  • Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Britt Baker – AEW Women’s World Championship
  • Anthony Ogogo vs. Cody Rhodes
  • Adam Page vs. Brian Cage
  • Casino Battle Royale (Christian Cage, Matt Sydal, 19 more TBA)
