The updated planned main event for tomorrow night’s WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on the WWE Network has been revealed.
PWInsider is reporting that, as of Saturday morning (today), the Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton is slated to close the show.
This is despite WrestleVotes reporting previously that the SmackDown Women’s Championship HIAC match between Bayley and Sasha Banks was the planned main event.
This next bit is just speculation, but the fact that the WWE Title match is planned to go on last over both Bayley vs Banks and the Universal Title match could suggest something big (for example a title change) could be going down. Again, that’s just some speculation that popped into my brain.
As of this writing, the card for Sunday’s pay-per-view is as follows:
- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso – Universal Championship HIAC ‘I Quit’ match
- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton – WWE Championship HIAC match
- Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks – SmackDown Women’s Championship HIAC match
- Otis (c) vs. The Miz – Money in the Bank contract
- Elias vs. Jeff Hardy
