An update has emerged on Roman Reigns’ schedule for the next three months.
Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Riddle on SmackDown, his first title defence since unifying the titles in April.
Following the Tribal Chief’s absence from the Hell in a Cell premium live event, Reigns is reportedly set to miss the July 2 Money in the Bank event.
Per the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Reigns has several appearances booked in the lead-up to SummerSlam on July 30:
“The schedule for Reigns over the next three months is Smackdown on 6/17 against Riddle for the title, Smackdowns on 6/24, 7/8 and 7/22 (building for SummerSlam) and Raw 7/25 in Madison Square Garden. I’m surprised he’s not listed for the 7/29 Smackdown. He’s also booked 7/30 for SummerSlam and 9/3 for Clash at the Castle.”
This all comes after Reigns signing a new WWE deal that will see him working less dates for WWE.
Following reports that Reigns’ planned SummerSlam opponent may have to undergo surgery, it has been noted that WWE has a backup plan in place for the Tribal Chief, which you can read about right here.
