“Even before capturing the United States Champion from Sheamus at SummerSlam, Damian Priest was a fighting champion waiting to be crowned. Now that he has dethroned The Celtic Warrior, he is wasting no time proving that he is ready to take on all comers!”
Priest won the US Title from Sheamus at SummerSlam on August 20, ending the Irishman’s 132 day reign with the gold. The US Championship was Priest’s first WWE accolade since joining the main roster in January.
On last week’s (August 23) episode of Raw, Priest and Drew McIntyre defeated Sheamus and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a tag team bout. Lashley will reportedly defend the WWE Title against Goldberg at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
