A judge has ruled in favour of CM Punk and Colt Cabana, meaning neither will have to pay damages to WWE doctor Chris Amman for comments they made on a podcast in November 2014.
In the podcast, Punk accused Amman of allowing him to wrestle through injury, and also said the doctor misdiagnosed a staph infection that other specialists apparently claimed could have been fatal.
Amman had been seeking $3,989,000 in damages for each stream of the podcast in addition to punitive damages for Punk and Cabana’s comments on the November 2014 episode of Cabana’s podcast ‘The Art of Wrestling’.
Nick Hausman, a reporter for Wrestlezone, tweeted the verdict as it happened.
The jury finds in favor of CM Punk (Philip Jack Brooks) and Colt Cabana (Scott Colton) on all counts filed by Dr. Chris Amann. Neither will have to pay anything.

Cabana looks very relieved. Punk & AJ are currently in a tight embrace and crying. Amann is staring off blankly.

Ross Berman, another of the site’s reporters, also tweeted about the event.
All counts (Defamation. False Light Defamation, Distribution) are found in favor of Defense (Punk & Cabana)
