Wrestling Veteran ‘Waiting For That Phone To Ring’ On Joining AEW AEW

Veteran wrestling referee Mike Chioda has commented on the possibility of him signing with AEW full-time.

Many fans will recognise Chioda from his WWE days, with the official working for the company for 31 years prior to his release in April 2020.

Chioda has officiated for AEW on a number of occasions, most recently serving as a referee to the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final match between Samoa Joe and Adam Cole at Double or Nothing 2022.

Speaking on his Monday Mailbag podcast, Chioda noted that he’s ‘waiting for that phone to ring’ regarding possibly appearing for AEW again, for the rumored Collision brand:

“Would I love to do that other show? Am I waiting for that phone to ring? Yeah, I am.

“Would I love to get back in the ring with CM Punk and work with him? Hell yeah. I’ll work with anybody.”

Chioda went on to share his thoughts on CM Punk’s situation with AEW, and his opinion on AEW potentially catering to him to bring him back.
