What have Dolly Parton, The Minions and Roman Reigns got in common?
Before yesterday absolutely nothing, however now we can say they all appeared in a commercial together for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Yes, while the selection doesn’t exactly have anything to do with the Olympics, NBC have nevertheless decided to throw the recognisable assortment of faces together to help launch their ‘save the date’ campaign of next year’s summer festivities.
Roman Reigns appears at the 0:17 mark of the trailer (found below) alongside his special counsel Paul Heyman, who proclaims that Reigns will defend his title against anyone anytime, until Reigns interjects with:
“Except next July”
The Paris Olympic Games are set to begin on July 26, 2024 and run for two weeks until August 11.
With over a year until the games begin, an important question will be whether Reigns will indeed still be holding his Undisputed Universal Championship by that time next year.
Having already surpassed the historic 1000 day milestone, many fans have wondered whether WWE will soon pull the trigger on Reigns losing his championship.
The Tribal Chief is set to appear at Money in the Bank on July 1 as well as SummerSlam on August 5, so perhaps we may see the title finally change hands very soon.
