After a big Battle Royal win on tonight’s WWE NXT, a new number one contender was greeted backstage by Shawn Michaels.

Thea Hail was able to eliminate not just Cora Jade but also WWE Raw star Dana Brooke to secure her win to become the number one contender to Tiffany Stratton’s NXT Women’s Championship.

Arriving backstage after the win, she was greeted by Shawn Michaels who had a hug and well wishes for the star.

Elsewhere on Twitter, the Dean of Chase U Andre Chase has reacted to the win, writing:

Tonight’s NXT saw a top star issue a massive challenge to Seth Rollins and a new number one contender to Tiffany Stratton’s WWE NXT Women’s Championship was determined via Battle Royal.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE NXT, several top NXT opponents were teased for Baron Corbin as he continued making enemies at the Performance Center.

And The Rock’s daughter, Ava, made her television in-ring debut in a mixed match alongside her faction mates from Schism, the Dyad. You can click here to read all about the USA Network debut. 

Also, a WWE Raw star joined the NXT Women’s Battle Royal and a new faction revealed their name as a group.
