After getting the attendance figure announced at AEW All In literally tattooed on his body, Will Ospreay has reacted to the shift in details.
AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium was historic as the company announced the event had set a new worldwide record for the highest paid attendance for a pro wrestling event with 81,035 fans.
Accordingly, 81,035 is the number that Will Ospreay got tattooed on his arm to commemorate the huge milestone which included that enormous number of fans seeing him beat veteran professional wrestling legend, Chris Jericho.
While the achievement remains no less impressive, it is now possible that the actual number on Will’s body may not represent the specific number of fans in attendance.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the Freedom of Information office for the Brett Civic Centre announced that the turnstile count for AEW All In was 72,265.
Will Ospreay for his part took the news in stride, laughing about having seen the news and the fact that his Mum truly hates tattoos and he had to convince her to like it.
You can watch the whole video of Will’s reaction from his Twitter account below with the caption: “I swear I’m ok”.
The tattoo paid tickets versus fans in attendance debacle could surely be smoothed over with a little addition to any potential upcoming contract offer.
Will Ospreay is reportedly set to become a free agent in 2024.
