Another week, another set of AEW Dynamite and NXT ratings. With both companies putting on good shows, the viewership for both shows went down. However, it was down for All Elite Wrestling much more than NXT.
Bryan Alvarez reported the numbers on Twitter. Dynamite garnered 753,000 average viewers while NXT managed to get 644,000. Alvarez also mentioned that news shows did incredibly well on Wednesday.

Last week’s Dynamite averaged 826,000 viewers, meaning this week’s episode dropped 73,000 viewers. Last week was the Anniversary episode of the show with four championship matches. This week’s episode featured the first round of the Eliminator tournament to crown a number one contender for the AEW Championship. This resulted in the return to the ring of Kenny Omega as well as a stellar Fenix vs. Pentagon match.
Meanwhile on NXT, they only dropped 7,000 average viewers from last week’s number of 651,000. There was a title change on last night’s show with Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan winning the NXT Tag Team Championship from Breezango thanks to interference from the returning Pat McAfee. McAfee joined forces with the team leading to the formation of a new stable.
