The official viewership numbers for yesterday’s July 22 episodes of AEW Dynamite on TNT and WWE NXT on the USA Network have been revealed.
In terms of overall viewers, AEW was dominant for the second straight week with 845,000 viewers to NXT’s 615,000, per Bryan Alvarez.
AEW was up from last week’s Fight for the Fallen which drew 788,000 viewers, while NXT was down from 631,000.
In the important 18-49 demo, AEW nearly doubled NXT’s rating with 0.32 to the yellow brand’s 0.17. AEW’s is up from last week’s 0.29, while NXT’s also increased from 0.14.
NXT had been hyping up a “huge announcement”, which ended up being that Keith Lee was relinquishing the North American Title, but other than that didn’t really promote any intriguing matches.
AEW, on the other hand, had Cody’s TNT Title defence, MJF in action, and the Young Bucks against the Butcher and the Blade in a falls count anywhere tag match.
