Goldberg was once one of the most over people in wrestling while undefeated in WCW. However, fans are no longer excited when WWE decides to bring the Hall of Famer back for a match or appearance.
According to a report from Inside The Ropes, Vince McMahon still thinks that there is money in Goldberg, and really doesn’t care if fans don’t like the fact that he still wants to use the former WCW icon on his shows:
We’re also told “Vince McMahon couldn’t care less what anyone thinks about him using Goldberg” and the head honcho still believes there is value in the Goldberg name. One might argue that lessens every time the 53-year-old performs, but McMahon appears locked in to use Goldberg for a few years yet.
Goldberg has revealed that his current WWE deal, which expires in 2022, will see him wrestle two matches per year. This means that we’ll be seeing a minimum of four more matches from the former Universal Champion before he hangs up his boots.
It has been speculated that Goldberg may be returning to WWE over the next few months, potentially to begin a feud with either Roman Reigns or Braun Strowman. You can read more about that by clicking here.
