Otis got the biggest win of his WWE career last night at Money in the Bank. He shocked the world by winning the Money in the Bank contract despite not being able to climb the ladder. Now, it has been revealed that Vince McMahon is a fan of his character.
In the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that McMahon likes the character. Here is the quote:
“Regarding the Otis/Rose storyline, and Andrea Listenberger, the writer who was released a few weeks ago and credited with it. A lot, perhaps most of the Otis stuff is from Vince McMahon who likes the character.”
Otis has been getting a push since his involvement with Mandy Rose took off. Their storyline has been the biggest highlight of SmackDown in recent months. This has clearly translated into further singles success for Otis as he would never have been thought to be a potential Mr. Money in the Bank before this started.
McMahon has been known to change his mind on people quickly but hopefully, Otis is someone he sticks with for the long term.
