Vince McMahon Responds To Pat McAfee Asking About Competition From AEW WWE/AEW

During his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show yesterday, Vince McMahon responded to McAfee’s question about competition from AEW.

McAfee didn’t single out AEW, although he did specifically say it – he also mentioned the likes of WCW, TNA/IMPACT, and just the idea of competition in general.

Although, he did also make sure to mention the news that AEW had purchased Ring of Honor.

In response to McAfee bringing up the competition, Vince McMahon said:

“I’m probably one of the few people in the world who enjoys confrontation. I enjoy confrontation, it’s one of the things that really revs you up, it’s one of the things that really puts you on your toes. It’s one of those things, ‘Okay, what am I going to do here in that split second’. I enjoy confrontation. Physical confrontation, I enjoy that.

“With a background like that, and a further background when I was a kid that was like – we don’t wanna hear another bad kid story or something like that – but my philosophy, I learned a long time ago when I was a kid, that if I lived through that beating, I win. So, if you live through the beating, and you won, what can you do to me? So in terms of competition, in terms of that confrontation, I’m not afraid of it, I relish it.”
