Vince McMahon is a curious man, to put it kindly.
The more stories you hear about him, the more puzzling he becomes. From his apparent hatred of sneezing and nodding to attempting to out-rep Mark Henry in the gym, the stories of Vince McMahon are infamous.
One of the more recent McMahon tales however, is slightly more concerning.
Kevin Eck, a former member of the WWE creative team, recently revealed Vince’s constant memory loss:
“He would just flat out ask, `What did we do on RAW last week with this guy? What did we do?’ He would need to be caught up to speed. […] One of the funniest things I recall is Vince one time in a booking meeting. It was Brock Lesnar against somebody and Vince was trying to think of what the finish could be and he literally says this in a booking meeting. He said: `What’s Brock’s finish again?’ It wasn’t a joke. There was kind of a pause and somebody spoke up and said, `The F-5.’ Then it suddenly dawned on Vince that he had taken that move not too long before that and hurt his hip and made a joke about it, `Oh that’s right, my hip didn’t like that move very much.’ He could not remember the F-5.”
Memory loss is not uncommon for people in their 60’s or 70’s so perhaps it is not surprising. When considering his fabled relentless work ethic and unparalleled years of experience in the business, it is only inevitable that this would happen now and again. It is quite humorous though, considering Brock’s current mega-stardom in WWE, that at one point Vince couldn’t even remember his finisher.
