One of the worst creations in wrestling history was the Brawl For All. Now, it has been revealed that Vince McMahon wanted to do a second one. So much for learning your lesson.
After Vice premiered Dark Side of the Ring: Brawl For All, former WWE creative writer John Piermarini made the reveal on Twitter.
@jasoneisener @evanhusney incredible job with both seasons of @DarkSideOfRing. Funny story – while on creative in either 2009 or 2010 Vince wanted to do another Brawl For All with the guys competing on NXT (in its original format). He had to be talked out of it.

Thank goodness he was. The old format of NXT was a kayfabe reality show where “rookies” attempted to win challenges to earn a WWE contract. Honestly, a Brawl For All seems right at home amongst the ridiculous things they had talent doing. Considering there were obstacle courses and monkey bars, a goofy boxing tournament would fit right in.
For context’s sake, if this was the first season of NXT, the participants were Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Darren Young, Michael Tarver, and Skip Sheffield (who later became Ryback).
