Vince McMahon’s Reaction To Pat McAfee Commentary Revealed

WWE majority owner Vince McMahon’s reaction to Pat McAfee on SmackDown commentary has been revealed in McAfee’s latest vlog.

McAfee’s work in his first few weeks on the blue brand has been praised by fans, and it sounds like it’s been praised by McMahon and Michael Cole too.

Here’s what Cole told McAfee after last Friday’s main event between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan:

“The pace you’re growing at is amazing. That last match, you were just going – you were doing resets, you were calling the ThunderDome, I mean that’s like classic stuff.”

McMahon seems to have similar thoughts, as McAfee explained:

“Mr H (Triple H), he walked over to me and congratulated me. He told me it was really cool to see. His wife, Stephanie McMahon was there. And… and… and… on camera, we got it, I talked to Vince McMahon, who said he’s enjoying working with me. Success all around baby!”

Cole then followed up with:

“24 years I’ve been here, never have had the boss come up to me after the show, shake my hand, tell me I did a great job. This guy (McAfee) has been here for three weeks.”

Well, if that’s not a sign that it’s going well, nothing is. We’ll hear Pat McAfee again on SmackDown tonight and WrestleTalk.com will of course have live coverage of the show.

Cole has gone on the record previously saying he thinks the partnership could be the next Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, and while perhaps that’s a bit of a stretch, things are certainly looking good so far.
