Vince Russo Slams Braun Strowman WWE Return As ‘Horrible Booking’ WWE

Former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo has slammed Braun Strowman’s WWE return on the September 5 edition of Raw.

During the show, Strowman interrupted a four-way tag team match between the Street Profits, Alpha Academy, Los Lotharios and the New Day. The returning star ran through everyone before powerslamming Angelo Dawkins through the announcers table.

Speaking with Sportskeeda, Vince Russo argued that WWE could’ve created more of a moment with Strowman’s return, noting:

“Horrible, horrible, horrible booking. You’re gonna bring back a guy after so long and he’s gonna lay out tag teams that nobody cares about anymore.

“They could have created a moment for Braun to return with impact that would’ve blown the roof off the place. This was not it. I could’ve cared less if he laid out eight tag teams. What does that mean?”

Strowman had been released by WWE in June 2, 2021. He last wrestled for the company at last year’s WrestleMania Backlash event, unsuccessfully challenging for the WWE Title in threeway action.

The Monster Among Men is slated to appear on the September 9 edition of SmackDown.
