Top independent star and resident big man WALTER has already been rumored to be in discussions with WWE in the past, but new evidence has come out to suggest that those discussions are back on and this time, they’re serious.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer writes that:
“The situation with Walter is back alive. His name came up several times this week and the belief was that talks had gotten serious between both sides.”
It also seems that WWE originally planned to bring in WALTER at the same time as current NXT star Keith Lee, but his WXW contract prevented that from happening. It’s worth noting however, that the last time the big Austrian was linked with WWE, he personally shot down those rumors with a tweet.

Having said that, Keith Lee also did the same thing and he’s currently in NXT, so anything is possible really. Time will only tell if WWE think WALTER has the chops. Do you get it? Chops? Like, credentials? But also chops because he does chops? I’m amazing. Love me.
