WALTER Match & More Announced For NXT

More big matches have been announced for NXT tonight, including the first WALTER match in the US in over a year.

On tonight’s card, WALTER will compete in a US NXT ring for the first time since January 2020. NXT took to Twitter to announce WALTER vs Drake Maverick, a match which Maverick instigated after barging into Imperium’s locker room.

Announcing this David vs Goliath-esque match, NXT tweeted:

Welp, @WWEMaverick talked himself into a match against #NXTUK Champion @WalterAUT … And that match takes place TOMORROW NIGHT on #WWENXT!

An interesting match between KUSHIDA and Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin has also been announced. After a brief back-and-forth on Twitter, William Regal officially made a match between the two world-travelled cruiserweights.

Confirming the pre-TakeOver pit stop, NXT tweeted:

#WWENXT General Manager @RealKingRegal made it official! NXT Cruiserweight Champion @Jordan_Devlin1 will take on @KUSHIDA_0904 in a non-title bout tomorrow night on @WWENXT!”

With Devlin scheduled to face the interim Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, he is looking for any opportunity to gain momentum ahead of the April show.

Speaking of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, the NXT Championship challenger will also be in action tomorrow night. He will face Oney Lorcan, who has recently been forced to relinquish the NXT Tag Team Championship due to Danny Burch’s shoulder injury.

NXT announced this match by tweeting:

TOMORROW NIGHT on #WWENXT @ONEYLORCAN gets @WWEKarrionKross one-on-one!”

Finally, a match between NXT newcomer LA Knight, and the heavyweight Bronson Reed has been confirmed for tonight’s show. After recent antics, it was decided that the two competitors need to settle their rivalry in the ring.
Revealing this match, NXT tweeted:
After weeks of collisions and wardrobe malfunctions, @LAKnightWWE goes one-on-one with the Colossal @bronsonreedwwe tomorrow night on #WWENXT
