It’s finally happened. After months of speculation, it’s finally confirmed that WALTER has signed with WWE, specifically to tie in with their European plans, which would include NXT UK.
PWInsider is reporting that multiple sources have confirmed the deal, with WALTER finishing up his pre-existing bookings, then joining the ranks of WWE. This comes months after the Austrian denied any sort of offer had come his way from WWE in the first place.
Apparently PWG attempted to bring WALTER back for a farewell show, but the new WWE exclusivity clauses in their contracts prevented that from happening. I’d expect the big man to be shown in the crowd at NXT UK Takeover Blackpool if it were me. You heard it here first.
I think Pete Dunne might have finally found the one to part him from his NXT UK Championship…
For those who haven’t been lucky enough to see a WALTER match before, you are in for a treat. The big man hits hard, and hits fast, being surprisingly agile for a man his size, with the power you’d expect. If you ever see someone get on the wrong side of his chops…don’t expect to see them again for a while because I think they just got hit to the other side of the planet.
