AEW TNT Champion Wardlow has shared his honest thoughts on Cody Rhodes jump back to WWE earlier this year.
In February, it was publicly announced that Cody and Brandi Rhodes had finished up with AEW. The former AEW EVP made his WWE return at WrestleMania 38 in April.
Speaking on the ‘Eat, Sleep, Podcast, Repeat‘ podcast, Wardlow admitted that he misses having Cody backstage. Noting that he’ll always support the star, Wardlow said:
“I don’t know if I would say let down, because I love Cody, and I will support whatever he wants to do with his life, so I would never hold that against him, and I told him that. I personally do miss his presence in the locker room.
“He does have a very positive presence backstage, and he was somebody I could comfortably go to, and speak to, so I do miss having him around. But, I will always wish him the best of luck in whatever he does.”
Cody Rhodes hasn’t wrestled since defeating Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell with a torn pectoral muscle. The star is currently recovering from surgery to fix this torn muscle.
