It seems we now know whether Vince McMahon was present at the latest episode of WWE Raw in Little Rock, Arkansas on April 17.
This has been a big question at every Raw and SmackDown ever since the Raw after WrestleMania 39 when McMahon was there and took over running the show, rewriting it as it was happening.
For all the shows since then, McMahon hasn’t been backstage in-person, but has attended pre-show creative meetings remotely, making some changes but seemingly nothing major.
Fightful Select confirms that McMahon once again was NOT at this past Monday’s Raw. There’s no word on whether or not he made any creative changes before the show began.
There was reportedly a backstage segment with Damage CTRL that “didn’t run”, but no specifics are known beyond that.
A week prior on April 10 there were some major changes to plans, but that was due to several top roster members arriving late due to a delayed flight, not because McMahon had forced changes just because he felt like it.
Officially, Paul Levesque (Triple H) is still WWE’s head of creative, and will be when the company merges with the UFC under Endeavor, but Vince McMahon does, and will, have the power to overrule him.
