Rapper Action Bronson had a surprise for concert-goers at The Observatory North Park in San Diego, CA this past weekend: Hook!
Appearing on stage alongside Action Bronson, the AEW star and personal friend of the rapper took to the stage alongside Bronson for his song and Hook’s entrance theme, The Chairman’s Intent.
In a recent interview with SPIN magazine, AEW President Tony Khan spoke about how the licensing of popular music has fit into the psychology of AEW and its characters, also referencing Orange Cassidy and Ruby Soho’s entrance music.
On Action Bronson’s collab with AEW, Khan said:
“I didn’t know about [the song] until HOOK introduced me to it, and the song was perfect; I closed my eyes and visualized HOOK coming out to it. And it made a lot of sense. And when I heard Action Bronson was a fan and wanted to work with us, I liked it even more.”
According to the article, the song has currently has 5.7 million plays on Spotify.
