The last WWE main roster match that was rated five stars by Dave Meltzer was the 2011 Money In The Bank clash between CM Punk and John Cena.
Despite this, it would seem as if Punk isn’t too fond of how Cena conducts himself in the ring.
In a video released by GQ Sports, Punk critiqued Hollywood films about wrestling. In the clip, he spoke about wrestlers calling their moves in matches.
At 1:44, CM Punk calls out Cena for how he loudly calls his spots during matches. On the matter, Punk had the following to say:
“To communicate, the easiest way to do is it to whisper sweet nothings into eachothers ears. Or talk as loudly as you can so people on the cheap seats can hear you like John Cena”.
It is really nice to see Punk in the media again conducting interviews discussing wrestling. He is still great on the mic so any interview with CM Punk is always guaranteed to make headlines.
Oh and it’s Punk’s birthday today, so Happy Birthday.
