Few things are certain in wrestling, other than Eva Marie returning to win the women’s Royal Rumble, but generally you expect the ring to stay in tact during matches.
Of course there are times when they deliberately rig the ring to break, think Braun vs Big Show or John Cena vs Umaga, but when it’s not in the plan, what do you do?
Well, thankfully when it did happen, you had two of the world’s greatest ever wrestlers in the ring, so naturally they played it off as if it was deliberate and used it to craft a match.
In this case, during a live event in Omaha, the middle rope snapped, forcing Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles to change their offence to incorporate far more middle ropes, as you can see below.

The middle rope snapped shortly after the match started, but shoutout to @AJStylesOrg & @WWEDanielBryan for still putting on a barn burner of a match! ?#WWEOmaha #WWELive pic.twitter.com/fULtHfBq3p

When in doubt, just whack him with the rope. The show must go on after all, and at least there are still some attempts to keep kayfabe alive, even if they are unplanned.
