If you placed a bet on The Rock appearing for Impact Wrestling in 2020, my hat is off to you. At Impact’s Bound For Glory pay per view, The Great One made his first appearance for the company, inducting Ken Shamrock into their Hall of Fame.
It was no surprise as the appearance had been announced well in advance, but it was still surreal to see one of the biggest mainstream stars on Earth appear for Impact. Now, the promotion has posted the video of The Rock’s induction speech on Twitter.

He talked about being a young heel and working with Shamrock in the Attitude Era. This was one of their earliest rivalries in wrestling, highlighted by the time Shamrock defeated The Rock to become King of the Ring in 1998.
Shamrock is now the lastest inductee into the Impact Hall of Fame. He now joins Sting, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, Earl Hebner, Gail Kim, Abyss, and Team 3D. Shamrock is recognized as the first world champion in Impact history. He won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in a gauntlet match at the inaugural Impact card. At the time, the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship was also defended as the TNA Heavyweight Championship.
