Last night was one of the most emotional nights in professional wrestling history, as the wrestling world paid their respects to Brodie Lee on AEW Dynamite after his tragic passing over the weekend.
Before the taping of last night’s show at Daily’s Place, Tony Khan addressed the crowd. He said that this was going to be the most special night in AEW history, and noted just how special Brodie Lee was:
“It’s an honor for all of us that you’re gonna be here tonight. I think it’s going to be the most special night ever in AEW, the most special thing we’ve ever done for a very special person, who deserves it; the late, great Mr. Brodie Lee.
“His family’s here. It’s going to be amazing. I ask you guys to please not swear or anything because I’m gonna mic you guys really hot. So, please no F words. Other than that, you guys have a great show. Thanks for being here.”
