WWE often randomly decides to change the name of some its Superstars, meaning fans often struggle to keep up with all the name changes (check out our handy name change tracker if you’re one of those people).
One of the latest people to receive a name change is former NXT Tag Team Champion Matt Riddle who lost his first name in October. The name change was reportedly to set to see Riddle pushed up the card, something that has somewhat materialised.
However, while appearing on RawTalk after last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, the former UFC star seemingly forgot that he had his name changed recently after referring to himself as “Matt Riddle”.
As you can see in the clip posted by Reddit user Lovableyou, which you can check it out by clicking here, Riddle initially referred to himself by his old name, before then correcting himself and dropping the first name.
Last night on Raw, Riddle was part of the fantastic three-way match with AJ Styles and Keith Lee which was won by AJ Styles, who has now earned a WWE Championship match against Drew McIntyre at TLC later this month.
Over the last few weeks, Riddle has picked up a host of wins on Raw, and it seems like he may finally be getting the push that fans have been hoping for since he arrived on the main roster earlier this year.
