On last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, a top WWE star lost a tooth following a stiff kick during their tag team match.
On Raw, Asuka teamed with Charlotte to take on WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. During the match, Baszler breaks up an armbar attempt by kicking Asuka square in the face.
The camera shot changed pretty quickly so only the most eagle eyed viewers spotted how wrong the kick went in the moment. Not only did Baszler break Asuka’s submission, she broke her tooth as well.
Easier to see in slow motion, immediately after the kick, Asuka puts her hands over her face, covering the gap in her teeth.

Asuka would go on to finish the match, being pinned after a Nia Jax legdrop. The fact that Asuka took moves so close to her mouth afterwards shows how tough The Empress of Tomorrow actually is.
In the fallout of the match, Asuka slapped Charlottes hand aside, refusing help from her former friend. After this, it is likely that Charlotte and Asuka will start feuding over the Raw Women’s Championship.
Next week on Raw, there will be a huge championship with WrestleMania implications.
