WCW Legend Appears On AEW: Dynamite

The March 3, 2021 edition of AEW: Dynamite was billed as a big night with Tully Blanchard appearing in a ring for the first time on television in 32 years. We also had Shaq wrestle on the show. Paul Wight and Sting are set to be a part of the show.

Yet, they still somehow managed to pull out one more surprise. When Tully Blanchard came out with FTR for his match, he didn’t come alone. JJ Dillon was there to manage him.

Dillon was Tully’s manager for a long portion of his career, even prior to the formation of The Four Horsemen.

Dillon didn’t take long to get back into form. He gave Dax Harwood his shoe. Dax drilled Jungle Boy with it.

Back in the day, getting hit in the head with a shoe was a dastardly heel manager move. In the end Blanchard, Dillon, and FTR get the win with help from the returning Shawn Spears.

Dillon wasn’t the only legendary wrestler to appear. Onita also appeared via video package to hype Omega and Moxley’s Barbwire Deathmatch. Onita was known for his barbwire death matches in Japan.
