Another setback has been revealed for the upcoming debut event for the Wrestling Entertainment Series (WES) promotion.
Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani, formerly known as The Authors of Pain or AOP, announced their WES promotion earlier this year.
The original premiere event for the company was scheduled for June 4, but was postponed until this Saturday, July 9.
Now with days before the show, it looks like the show isn’t selling as well as originally desired.
According to Adam Cailler of the Daily Star, the event has sold less than 350 tickets for the 10,000 seat arena booked.
Cailler tweeted the following:
Just been told that this re-arranged show, which still has people advertised on the poster who aren’t coming, and is being held at the 10,000 seater Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham has sold *drum roll*…
LESS THAN 350 tickets.

350 tickets sold is not bad for an independent show, but it falls drastically short of what AOP expected originally.
The main event of the show will see IMPACT Wrestling’s Moose facing former UFC fighter Alistair Overeem. Several stars have pulled from the event since then.
The former Nia Jax (Lina Fanene) has spoken out against the promotion for misleading fans by advertising her for the show.
We will have further updates on the WES debut event when they become available.
