Here’s what happened immediately after Bray Wyatt’s return, when the Extreme Rules premium live event went off the air.
In the closing moments of the show, all the lights in the arena went out, before Wyatt’s voice sang ‘he’s got the whole world in his hands’.
After different Firefly Fun House characters were shown in the crowd, a figure holding a lantern appeared in a doorway on the stage. The figure removed its mask to reveal that it was indeed Bray Wyatt behind recent teases.
The live feed then cut to a new logo, before the show went off the air.
After the cameras stopped rolling, Wyatt put his lantern and mask down and hyped up the crowd, who chanted ‘welcome back’ before Wyatt stepped back through the doorway.
This marked Wyatt’s first WWE appearance since his final Firefly Fun House segment following WrestleMania 37 in April 2021. The former Universal Champion was released from his WWE contract that July.
Wyatt has now broken his silence on his return, revealing why he chose to come back to WWE.
