What Happened In The Days That Followed MJF’s Promo On AEW Dynamite AEW

The ongoing situation between AEW and MJF is still fresh in the minds of wrestling fans following MJF’s insane promo on last week’s AEW Dynamite show.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided an update on what happened in the days that followed the promo. Fightful reports that, at some point on the day before the meet & greet and flight booking, MJF had spoken with Tony Khan at Rampage, though it is not known how that conversation went, or if that led to what followed the following day.

MJF was not present at the WarnerMedia/Discovery/AEW party following the June 1 Dynamite in Los Angeles, which featured many of the top stars within the company. MJF was also not present at Rampage in Ontario two days later, nor did he travel with the company after Dynamite. Numerous sources claimed that MJF remained in Los Angeles for several days.

Fightful also notes that MJF has had a growing interest in pursuing Hollywood opportunities, with him speaking more about the possibility of getting into acting. This was mentioned in the interview with Ariel Helwani, which was the interview that helped start the issues between MJF and AEW. MJF also claimed to have recorded a voiceover for an animated role that comes out next year. Some within AEW have heard that MJF had meetings set up last week in LA later in the week to possibly explore that route, with many hearing this as far back as March.

An edict was issued by AEW to WarnerMedia to have MJF removed from any advertising for the company that he was featured on.
