Here’s What John Cena Was Doing During WrestleMania 38 Week

Details have emerged on John Cena’s whereabouts during WrestleMania 38 week, and the reason why he didn’t make an appearance at the event.

In January, John Cena stated that he didn’t know whether he’d be at WrestleMania this year, as he had a number of exciting opportunities lined up.

Per PWInsider, Cena was in Mexico this past week, filming for the ‘Coyote vs. Acme’ Looney Tunes inspired movie. The 16-time World Champion plays Wile E Coyote’s former boss at Acme.

Following WrestleMania 38, Cena has wished the WWE locker-room well, tweeting:

“Congrats to everyone who made this year’s #WrestleMania an absolutely STUPENDOUS 2-night affair. Celebrate the weekend, the fans & the closing one of chapter to start the next. Enjoy the shortest off season in ALL of sport & entertainment before a VOCAL #WWERaw crowd tonight!”

Cena last wrestled at SummerSlam 2021 in August 2021, unsuccessfully challenging for Roman Reigns’ Universal Title.

In the main event of WrestleMania 38 Sunday, Reigns defeated Roman Reigns to become the unified WWE Universal Champion.
