What Was Supposed To Happen During Botched SmackDown Segment WWE

On last week’s (September 23) episode of SmackDown, Karrion Kross and Scarlett showed just how spooky and powerful they can be by conjuring an actual fireball, and trying to fire it at Drew McIntyre.

Unfortunately the spot didn’t really work, as the fireball quite clearly made no contact with Drew, so the three of them just had to improvise.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained what was supposed to happen:

“The angle on Friday was supposed to be a fireball to the face, and then, the medics out, doctors out, this big commotion. It was supposed to be this big angle. And obviously, the fireball missed.

“So what we saw was largely impromptu, but it was not 100% impromptu in the sense that… there was concern because they used, it was like a fire gun or something, that they used. So they were inexperienced at it, so I think it was kind of like, it was known that if somehow it didn’t work since they were going live, that they would adjust.

“So if you notice when McIntyre was there, he kind of paused for a second, and he realised that it didn’t hit him, and then he went and attacked Kross, and it was pretty much called, but I guess that there was an understanding because Scarlett knew enough to do the low blow. I don’t know if it was planned (to the extent of), ‘If this thing screws up, you do a low blow’, but somehow they did it and it worked out as good as it was going to work out. But it was absolutely not what was planned.”

Now I don’t know how things are being run in WWE now that Triple H is in charge, but surely Kross and Scarlett should be arrested for attempting to melt their colleague?
