According to a new report, here’s when AEW is planning to hold the big rematch between Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa.
Baker and Rosa had one of the biggest matches of the year this past March, and many people had predicted they would meet again in the future.
Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the rematch is currently planned for early 2022.
You would think this would likely mean Baker won’t be losing the AEW Women’s World Championship before that and this time it’ll be for the title.
Britt Baker defends the championship against Kris Statlander at All Out on September 5.
The official AEW women’s division rankings from before Dynamite this past week had Statlander at #1, Rosa at #2, Tay Conti at #3, Hikaru Shida at #4 and Nyla Rose at #5.
Of those, Baker has the upcoming matches against Statlander and Rosa, and has already beaten Shida and Rose, so that makes Conti a likely choice to be her next challenger after Statlander, or at least at some point between Statlander and Rosa.
