The 2023 WWE Draft is now officially in the books, with all WWE stars learning their future across two nights of the Draft.
Prior to night one of the Draft, WWE had not informed the stars which brand they would be ending up on, which is the norm for most WWE Drafts.
However, that reportedly wasn’t the case for some of the stars that were drafted on Monday.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), several WWE stars that were drafted on night two were made aware of where they would be headed on Friday night, with them filming promos accordingly.
A lot of the names drafted on Monday were NXT call ups, who were not made aware of where they would be ending up.
The rosters created in the Draft aren’t set to take effect until this Monday (May 8) following the WWE Backlash premium live event.
The status of the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships are currently a source of confusion, with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair being drafted to SmackDown and defending the title against IYO SKY, who was also drafted to SmackDown.
Triple H announced at today’s WWE Backlash press conference a cross branded tournament to crown the first new World Heavyweight Champion.
