Here’s Which Show Could Replace NXT UK On BT Sport WWE

WWE officially announced that the NXT UK brand is set to go on hiatus, with the final event featuring the brand being the Worlds Collide event on September 4, pitting the top stars of NXT UK against the top stars of NXT 2.0.

In it’s place, WWE is set to repurpose the show as ‘NXT Europe’, with the show set to launch in 2023.

While NXT UK airs on the WWE Network and Peacock, it also has a television deal with BT Sport here in the United Kingdom, leading many to question what WWE will replace it with.

Per Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been talk of WWE airing episodes of NXT Level Up to fulfill BT Sport’s commitments, though WWE said that was still unclear at present.

With the repurposing of NXT UK, many NXT UK stars were released from the company last night. You can find the full list here.

If you’re in the UK but didn’t manage to get tickets to Clash at the Castle on September 3, WrestleTalk is hosting a watch party at The Joiner on Worship in Shoreditch, London, and we’d love for you to join us! Click here for more details.
