If you’ve been following the news at all, then you know Sonya has been dealing with some major stuff outside of the ring. While nothing official has been announced, it seems likely this stipulation was changed due to the kidnapping attempt and scary encounter with a stalker.
It appears Sonya will be taking some time off to deal with this matter. She deserves the however much time she needs.

Let’s just hope it’s not the last time we see her and this experience doesn’t keep her from doing what she has loved for a long time. No one deserves to have their profession taken away because of the actions of some one acting this way.
Kudos to Sonya for putting over her friend before going. This feels like a double whammy for Sonya because she’s really feeling comfortable in her role.
